Cashew Brittle

Every year my mother in law would make this. It is wonderful and so easy to make. One of those Christmas Candies that just happens to be a tradition.

Cashew Brittle Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Margarine
  • 1/2 cup Butter
  • 1 tablespoon Light Corn Syrup
  • 3 tablespoons Water
  • 1 cup Cashews

Directions

Step 1
Grease cookie sheet with small amount of butter. In heavy pan combine sugar, margarine, butter, corn syrup and water.
Step 2
Use high heat and stir rapidly. Cook until color of a brown paper bag.
Step 3
Remove from heat and quickly stir in cashews.
Step 4
Spread onto greased cookie sheet. Let cool.
Step 5
Break into bite sizes and serve.
