Chocolate Butter Cream Frosting

I just don’t understand why you would want to buy a can of frosting. This is so easy. Just look at how simple and quick to whip this up. I promise you’ll love it. I tend to like a little lighter chocolate. Just add a little more cocoa if you want a darker chocolate. Use this on cakes, brownies, cookies, bars, etc.

Chocolate Butter Cream Frosting

Serves 6-8 cups

  • 1 cup Butter (room temp)
  • 2lb Powdered Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Cream or Whole Milk (If you need to thin add more cream 1 Tbs. at a time.)
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon Baking Cocoa
  • 1 teaspoon Butter Flavor
  • 1 tablespoon Vanilla


Step 1
Mix butter on medium speed for 2 minutes.
Step 2
Add powdered sugar, cocoa, butter flavor, vanilla and cream a tablespoon at a time until desired consistency.
Step 3
Beat on medium speed for 5 minutes scraping the bowl often.
Step 4
Frost your favorite baked goods.
Step 5
Store any excess frosting in freezer for future use.
